Rural youth have been part of the Vaudois landscape and heritage since the beginning of the 20th century. The Vaudois federation has existed since 1921, and its primary goals were, among other things, to combat rural exodus. The movement has spread, and youth groups can now be found throughout the canton. Every four or five years, a festival bringing together the canton's youth takes place. In 2024, it will be in Givrins.
