In April 2014, I walked the length of Biel for the first time and took a photo of every vacant shop. Since then, I've taken a similar snapshot every year. In 2017, that was in November. I found 83 vacant shops that month. "Vacancy" is my long-term project, which I was able to present in the Bieler Tagblatt with the latest photos from November.

Schon während meiner Lehre als Dekorationsgestalter interessierte ich mich für die Fotografie und besuchte entsprechende Kurse an der Schule für Gestaltung in Basel. Während eines längeren Auslandaufenthaltes 2008 lernte ich einige Fotografen kennen, die in mir abermals die Faszination zur Fotografie weckten. Seither arbeite ich als sogenannter Quereinsteiger und durfte schon einige sehr spannende Reportagen im In- und Ausland umsetzen.
