After Erdoğan threatened to reopen the borders to the influx of refugees, the mood on Lesbos turned sour, and a right-wing mob temporarily took control. Streets were blocked, journalists were attacked, and the "School of Peace" and the headquarters of the Swiss NGO One Happy Family were set ablaze. For many people, this shattered a measure of normality and hope.

Geboren 1983 und aufgewachsen im Süden Deutschlands, lebe ich seit 2005 in der Schweiz. Nach einer Reise 2016 durch den Norden Vietnams entschied ich mich, nicht mehr in der Werbebranche zu arbeiten und fotografisch tiefer in die Reportage einzusteigen. Noch im selben Jahr machte ich mit weiteren Fotografen das Buch „Inside Vietnam“ und stellte die Strecke „Men“ in Hamburg, Berlin, Mannheim, Köln, München, Tübingen und Zürich aus. Danach fing ich an die Flüchtlingssituation in Griechenland zu dokumentierte, sowie den Konflikt in Israel und Palästina. 2018 wurde die Strecke «Laughing Scars» mit Bildern von Flüchtlingen in Zürich gezeigt. Anfang 2019 war ich Teil der Sonderausstellung Leica — photoSCHWEIZ 19, wo ich erstmals Bilder von der HipHop Gruppe S.O.S zeigte.
