It all began with a colleague's vacation anecdote: "There were postal buses on the Greek holiday island! I wonder how they got there?" What followed was not a simple answer, but rather research that revealed that almost no Swiss tram, train, or bus ends up in the scrapyard. Many find a second life abroad. And there are even veritable "Swiss public transport exile meccas."
