Reporterin/Autorin, Zürich, 1967

Geboren in Norddeutschland, verbrachte sie einen Teil ihrer Kindheit in Brasilien und Thailand. Nach einem Wirtschaftsstudium, dem Volontariat bei einer Fachzeitschrift und dem Besuch der Henri-Nannen-Schule arbeitete sie als Filmemacherin bei Radio Bremen Fernsehen, bevor sie sich endgültig für das Schreiben entschied – als Redakteurin beim ZEIT Magazin, später Die Zeit Leben, als Reporterin bei Spiegel Reporter und als Autorin für das Wirtschaftsmagazin Brand eins. Von 2005 bis 2016 war sie Redakteurin beim NZZ Folio mit Schwerpunkt auf Reportagen und Portraits zu gesellschafts- und wirtschaftspolitischen Themen. Seit 2016 ist sie Reporterin/Autorin der NZZ für alle Ressorts.
