Children of the Drought

Muse Mohammed

Water is scarce in many areas of Somalia. Animals are dying of thirst and families continue to travel out further and further for the nearest source of water. The United Nations estimates that over 6 million people are in dire need of humanitarian assistance, including more than a million children. In 2017, over a million people became internally displaced due to the drought.
