The Sails of Scampia are a complex of four buildings, among the most dismal and infamous in Italy. The result of a failed urban planning and architectural experiment, they have stood for over forty years in the most run-down and dangerous suburb of Naples. In 2017, the municipality announced their demolition. "Down with the Sails" tells the story of the Scampia neighborhood waiting to rid itself of this cumbersome symbol.
