Worlds Beyond (Swiss Stories 2019, by Matthieu Zellweger) - Swiss Press Award

During psychiatric crises, this man suffers scary dreams, with harassing visions of people wishing to talk to him and invade his mental space. He explained that he is so tired of them that he named them to ask them to leave him alone by their name, with a hope that he could come to peace with the visions. - Rolle, Switzerland, 02 March 2017

Worlds Beyond

Matthieu Zellweger

This series opens a door to worlds known to one person only, at one moment only - worlds off-limits to anyone else around that person. It depicts visions created by the brain when it loses control over reality. This can be induced by a psychiatric disorder, such as manic phases, a hallmark of bipolar disorder. These “Worlds Beyond” represent uncontrolled or irrational situations.
