In 2017 alone, more than 3,000 people lost their lives attempting to cross the Mediterranean. Stories and dramas, the search for a landing place that would be a new life. A boat as fragile as paper, a cruel sea. Endless hours and high waves. A thermal blanket is the gateway to the new world, the gaze of one person meeting the gaze of another.
