In Mexico, the Isthmus of Tehuantepec could be considered a transgender paradise. In this matriarchal society, those known as muxes live out their sexual identity with apparent acceptance and tolerance. Yet the weight of tradition weighs heavily on the shoulders of these homosexuals, whether transvestites or not, who often find themselves confined to domestic roles.

Journaliste, JRI, monteuse indépendante depuis 15 ans, Laetitia Wider manie aussi bien la caméra, le micro que le stylo toujours dans l’idée de conter les petites histoires qui façonnent la Grande. Formée à l’ISCPA de Lyon, elle effectue son stage RP au magazine Bilan avant d’être engagée et formée comme JRI à la TSR/RTS notamment pour l’émission Nouvo et le Téléjournal. Elle remporte le Prix Chuard 2008. Depuis 2011, elle collabore régulièrement avec de nombreux médias romands, notamment la RTS. Elle développe aussi des podcasts et enseigne au CFJM.
