Twenty-three years after the war, the wounds in Bosnia are still deep. A few became rich and powerful during the war and have held sway ever since. The majority, however, live in poverty and suffer from their traumatic experiences. War veterans are hit particularly hard—they now find themselves on the margins of the society for which they once gave everything.
