Every spring, the people of Basel-Landschaft march along the municipal border: This ban day is a family celebration everywhere, but not in the cantonal capital of Liestal. There, hundreds of men traditionally keep to themselves for this custom. Women are unwelcome there, even in 2019, the year of the women's strike. A small piece of still-unrealized equality.
