Disability insurance doctors repeatedly made headlines for being too insurance-friendly. In 2020, I researched a completely different case: A doctor examining a patient for disability insurance attempted to double-charge and also receive a fee from the patient. This case demonstrates that abuse is possible, especially in this sensitive area.
