During the second wave of coronavirus, a particularly high number of people died in nursing homes in Switzerland. An investigative study, using the example of a nursing home in Birsfelden, canton of Basel-Landschaft, reveals that the authorities themselves knew very well what they should have done to prevent the worst, but then failed to do so.
