Nach Abschluss eines Biologiestudiums im Jahr 2001, besuchte Christian Flierl eine Ausbildung in Fotografie am Medienausbildungszentrum (MAZ) in Luzern. Er ist seit 2001 als professioneller Fotograf tätig für Zeitungen, Magazine, Bücher und Firmen. In dieser Zeit realisierte Christian Flierl auch regelmässig eigene Projekte und Ausstellungen.
