He is the Swiss athlete with the most Olympic medals, yet few remember Giorgio Miez. He participated in the Games four times, from Paris 1924 to Berlin 1936, with a personal medal haul of four golds, three silvers, and one bronze in gymnastics. Miez settled in Ticino where, as a renowned athlete, he toured the canton's schools teaching corrective gymnastics.
