Sorti de l école de photographie de Vevey en 2000. Assistant de Pierre Fantys en 2001 à l ECAL-Lausanne. En 2003, Sébastien Part à Paris s y installer durant 10 années, il y travail comme portraitiste pour la presse magazine. Il revient s installer à Vevey à la naissance de son fils, et il y vit depuis 2013. Enseignant à l ECAL, un semestre par année, au 1ere année transversale. Il est membre de l agence de presse 13Photo basée à Zürich. Et travail pour divers supports presse Suisse et à l international.
