Il Corivale is not the tallest, but one of the longest skyscrapers in Europe. The one-kilometer-long social housing project was built in the 1970s in southwest Rome. For us German-speaking Swiss, Italy is, above all, a beautiful country—bel paese, in other words. For the people who live there, it's a tough country. And the Corviale impressively illustrates this.
