Photo reportage about Biel ice hockey fan Gérald, known as "Géry" for short. The mildly mentally disabled resident of the Dammweg Foundation has been a fan of EHC Biel for over 30 years and is himself a legend in the ice hockey stadium. The challenge was to photograph Géry in his open, unpredictable manner. It was important to me to do him justice and avoid clichés.

Geschichten, Menschen und Fotografie faszinieren mich schon immer. Zuerst drückte ich dies aber beruflich als Schreibende aus, ich arbeitete als Journalistin in München und Bern, dann als Kommunikationsspezialistin. Privat blieb das Bild immer die Herzensangelegenheit und so entschied ich mich nach einer Auszeit 2017, voll auf Fotografie zu setzen. Neben dem privaten Fotografieren über die Jahre hinweg, absolvierte ich ein halbjähriges Praktikum beim Bieler Tagblatt und bilde mich in einer GAF Gruppe weiter. Ich arbeite inzwischen als freie Fotografin in Bern und als Pressefotografin für das Bieler Tagblatt.
