FC Zurich was given little credit before the 2021/22 season. The Zurich team enjoyed an outstanding first half of the season and became winter champions. The new year continued in the same vein, and FC Zurich became the most surprising champions in a long time. The trophy was presented at Letzigrund, and captain Yanick Brecher was surrounded by fans who had stormed the pitch earlier.
