The Electron festival commissioned me to document the reopening of nightlife venues in June 2020, post-lockdown. A euphoria that ultimately lasted only three weeks before the clubs shut down. Health measures, silent nights. Caught up in the new lockdown, I decided to refocus my project on empty clubs, abandoned by the public and their cultural stakeholders.

photographe ( indépendant et à la BPTS), Genève, 1978

Diplômée de l'Ecole de photographie de Vevey (FS) en 2001, Esther Fayant (née en 1978) vit à Genève. Son travail personnel " Kaléidoscope" et " fragments", carnet de route photographique, est exposé à plusieurs reprises. En 2003, elle intègre la police technique et scientifique comme photographe. " Etat des lieux" naît du besoin de raconter un quotidien peu ordinaire. La série est présentée pour la première fois lors de No' Photo 2019 ( Biennale genevoise sur la photographie).
