Windowless rooms measuring just under four square meters: This is how domestic workers live in the so-called "Beirut Terraces" in Lebanon. The so-called "maid rooms" were designed by Basel-based star architects Herzog & de Meuron. Two 20-Minuten journalists visited the rooms on site and spoke with the servants. The result is an investigative report on the kafala system.
