It's disturbing, and it's happening even in lovely Switzerland: forced prostitution. At the beginning of 2020, a rare human trafficking trial took place in Basel. Rare because, authorities argue, fighting internationally active organizations is supposedly almost impossible. Nevertheless, the question remains: Has Basel been asleep? Other cantons have been consistently addressing this issue for some time.

Während meines Bachelor-Studiums konnte ich bei einem Praktikum beim Basler Lokalfernsehen «Telebasel» erste journalistische Luft schnuppern. Und mir war bald klar, dass ich mehr davon wollte. Die Vielseitigkeit des Berufs begeistert mich immer wieder aufs Neue. Nach dem Master-Abschluss bot mir die zweijährige SRF-Stage die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Redaktionen zu besuchen und an meinem journalistischen Handwerk zu feilen. Seit Frühling 2015 arbeite ich für SRF, als Redaktor beim «Regionaljournal Basel Baselland». Auf privater Basis lancierte ich zusammen mit Freunden Ende 2020 den die Podcast-Serie «Nachbeben».
