During one of his first interviews as Federal Councilor, Albert Rösti, head of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, and Communications (DETEC), needed a new tie. The old one had become stained, so someone was dispatched to buy a new one. The photographer had to wait that long, as Rösti remarked, "A Federal Councilor needs a tie." This resulted in the interview photo of Federal Councilor Rösti tying his tie in his office.

Als Autodidakt brachte er sich das fotografische Grundhandwerk selbst bei und sammelte erste Erfahrungen bei den Jugendonlinemagazinen Youthguide.ch und Tink.ch. Bei der Aargauer Zeitung verfeinerte er seine Fertigkeiten in den Jahren 2008-2009 zunächst in einem einjährigen Volontariat und arbeitete darauf als festangestellter Pressefotograf. In Berlin absolvierte er 2012-2014 ein weiteres Volontariat bei der Fotoagentur photothek.net. In dieser Zeit arbeitete er als offizieller Fotograf im Auftrag verschiedener Bundesministerien und bereiste rund 20 Länder. Seine Bilder erschienen u.a. im Spiegel, der Süddeutschen Zeitung oder in der deutschen Tagesschau. Nach seiner Rückkehr in die Schweiz war er für kurze Zeit bei der Fotoagentur freshfocus Bildmanufaktur tätig, bevor er sich selbständig machte. Heute arbeitet er als selbstständiger Presse- und Veranstaltungsfotograf.
