Patrick Walliser is the last professional taxidermist in Valais. For 40 years, he has been preserving wild and domestic animals in Brig, aesthetically preserving the ephemeral. Despite his great passion and skill, he sees a bleak future for his profession: because training is hardly possible anymore, the craft of private taxidermy is slowly dying out in Switzerland.
