Sebastian Rieder (born 1980) has been Deputy Head of Sports at 20 Minuten since 2024. For over 20 years, he has worked as a reporter and video journalist covering a wide range of topics around the globe. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Communication and Journalism from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur in 2006 and now lectures in sports journalism there. As a generalist, he feels particularly at home at the Olympics, where he enjoys reporting on social issues beyond the sporting aspects. His specialty is the Swiss national football team, which he has covered at several European and World Championships. A trained banker at UBS, he brings experience from SRF Sport, NEWS, Radio 24, TeleZüri, Tages-Anzeiger, and Blick.
