As a Zug resident, I know countless colleagues who have had to move away from their home canton because they can no longer afford an apartment in their home canton – or because their dream of owning their own home has become unattainable. I was able to concretely demonstrate the extent of this "residential exodus" for the first time using relocation data from the Federal Office for Social Affairs (FSO).
