The Canton of Zug made its third attempt to build a city tunnel to bypass Zug's city center. The city and canton argued that this would cause increased traffic both in the past and in the future. Data, which the Canton of Zug only provided upon request at the time, showed that traffic at the intersections in question had been stagnating or declining for years.
