My Polish grandmother married my grandfather on the way to Auschwitz, in a cattle car. Upon arriving at the concentration camp, she was separated from her parents and siblings. She never saw them again. She told me, her grandson, mostly happy-ending stories from the concentration camps. 75 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, I am reconstructing her story.
