The report from the SRF program "Schweiz aktuell" tells the story of the "Maison du Chapeau" in Lucerne and its owner, Herbert Meier. The shop is forced to close and symbolizes many specialty stores currently struggling to survive. The charismatic protagonist, the unusual setting, and the numerous reactions prompted me to submit this report.

Ich bin Luzern aufgewachsen und habe nach der Matura an der Uni Bern Politikwissenschaften studiert. Parallel dazu kam der Einstieg in den Journalismus über ein Praktikum bei der Neuen Luzerner Zeitung&. Mittlerweile bin ich seit 20 Jahren im Journalismus. Nach 8 Jahren bei der Luzerner Zeitung, kam der Wechsel zu SRF. Zuerst als Produzent Arena und nun Inland-Korrespondent. Ich berichte aus der Zentralschweiz für Schweiz aktuell, Tagesschau und 10vor10. Es ist das erste Mal, dass ich Beiträge einreiche.
