In den Salzminen in Bex wird Salz angebaut, dass als „Sale des Alps“ in der ganzen Schweiz verkauft wird. The Bex salt mine is one of three mines from which Switzerland obtains its salt, and the only one where miners have to go underground to extract the salt. Gabriel Carrasco, one of the last miners in Switzerland, studied mining in Mérida, Venezuela, and guided us through the maze of tunnels that are usually hidden from public view.
