Anja Schmitter

Ado Hasanovic, a Bosnian filmmaker, grew up in Srebrenica, in the midst of the Yugoslav War. He possesses a special treasure from that time: his father's diaries, which provide a unique account of everyday life during the siege. The young director decides to confront his past and make a film about his father. Anja Schmitter accompanied him during the film's creation.

Autorin, Zürich, 1992

1992 in Münsterlingen am Bodensee geboren. Nach einem Studium der Germanistik und Komparatistik in Zürich, Bordeaux und Wien studierte Anja Schmitter im Master Literarisches Schreiben an der Hochschule der Künste in Bern. Sie schreibt Fiktion und literarische Reportagen, u.a. für das Magazin REPORTAGEN. Seit 2021 arbeitet sie als Autorin und Kommunikationsverantwortliche bei AUSBRUCH, einem Schweizer Gefängnistheater mit. Neben ihrer Arbeit bei AUSBRUCH schreibt Anja an ihrem ersten Roman.
