Bern has always had great photographers. Their pictures lie deep in the archives' basements. No one sees them there, and they are of use to only a few. I wanted to show the photos to many. An Advent calendar offered the opportunity to do so. My goal was to use new technology to evoke emotions: nostalgia, contemplation, memories. To make us aware of how far we have moved on from that time, to ask who we are.
