In September, while visiting friends in Baden near Vienna for a few weeks, I decided to do a feature for the Tagblatt media about people from Eastern Switzerland living in Vienna. I owe it primarily to the Swiss community that I was able to find enough participants. I left it up to the subjects themselves to choose the location for the photograph.

Freier Fotojournalist, Hefenhofen, 1947

In Österreich geboren und aufgewachsen. Nach Wanderjahren als Freelancer 1970 in die Schweiz gekommen und "hängen" geblieben. Früher mehrere Berufe erlernt. Hotelfachschule und Fotograf in den 1960-er-Jahren in Wien. Psychiatriepfleger dann in der Schweiz und später Journalisten-Kurse in St. Gallen. Seit etwa 1990 freier Foto-Journalist, vorwiegend bei Thurgauer Medien. Die Fotoreportage ist meine liebste Arbeitsform.
