Starting in January 2018, I photographed the still intact buildings and machinery at the Utzenstorf paper mill, and starting in 2019, I photographed the demolition work. I was on site every Monday for three years. From the beginning, it was clear that I would photograph in black and white. The board of directors of the paper mill and the municipality of Utzenstorf were delighted that much of the work will now be preserved between the covers of the book.
