Franz Johann Irsigler was a Nazi from the very beginning, an SS brigade leader and brain researcher at an institute deeply involved in the crimes of the Nazi regime. After the war, he went into hiding – only to reappear in Switzerland. There, he was helped to escape. His biography stands among thousands of others. Here, it is being examined for the first time, following five years of research using files from nine archives.
