In Solothurn aufgewachsen absolvierte er eine Lehre als Elektromaschinenbauer. Anschliessend vertiefte er sein Wissen in den Bereichen Verkaufsplanung und Marketing. Seine fotografischen Kenntnisse erweiterte und perfektionierte er durch spezialisierte Fachkurse und Workshops, insbesondere in den USA. Heute arbeitet er als freischaffender Pressefotograf, hauptsächlich für CH Media, und führt in Solothurn ein Studio, wo er klassische Fotografie, Fotokurse sowie internationale Foto-Workshops anbietet.
