In April 2023, I met Tommy * (name changed) in person for the first time. The drug dealer had already completed his nine months of pre-trial detention and had since become the father of a son. I was able to accompany the Schwyz native and his family to find out what it's like to live under the sword of Damocles of a looming seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence.
