With its "Climate Monitor," SRF Data provides facts and figures on the climate crisis – not only updated daily but also customizable: After reviewing some impressive basic data for the whole of Switzerland (for example, glacier retreat of over 50 percent since 1960), users can enter their municipality of residence, and the following graphs refer to data from the nearest measuring station. In winter, the (trending) declining number of frost and ice days is displayed, and a curve allows you to track how much the daily average temperature of the past few weeks deviates from a reference period in which climate change did not yet play a major role. The energy transition is intended to counteract this; the last three graphs illustrate how well your own place of residence is performing in terms of electric cars, solar panels, and renewable heating. By the end of 2022, they show that Switzerland's potential is far from being exhausted.
