The film shows a giant calving event on the Jakobshavn Glacier in West Greenland. With a flow velocity of 40 meters per day, it is the fastest-flowing glacier in the world. The breaking ice is approximately 1,000 meters high, 120 meters of which protrude from the fjord. I spent 10 days bivouacing with four researchers from the University of Zurich, 100 km beyond the last settlement on the edge of the ice sheet.
