1,500 tap water samples from across Switzerland were tested for 29 different PFAS before the federal government initiated investigations. Every second sample contained toxic PFAS. The measured levels often exceeded the limits set by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and in some cases even exceeded the recommended limits of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
