Paul Ley, an orthopedic surgeon from Laveno in the province of Varese, tells the story of his experience. He spent a month and a half operating in a hospital in the southern Gaza Strip as part of the International Red Cross team. He talks to us about patients with blast injuries, his colleagues in the operating room, and the refugees camping in the hospital in the hope that it will protect them from the bombings.
