Overturned signs, hundreds of tractors gathered, and protest fires: the anger of the farming community made headlines in Switzerland at the beginning of 2024. Along with several RTS journalists, we met with farmers to understand the origins of the unrest and also to see what is being done to move forward.

Mehdi Piccand est journaliste à l'actualité radio de la RTS depuis juillet 2023 comme correspondant à Fribourg. Il a effectué auparavant son stage RP à Radio Fribourg avant d'y travailler près de deux ans comme journaliste. Mehdi a obtenu un Bachelor en Histoire et Economie politique à l'Université de Fribourg avant de poursuivre sa formation à l'Académie du journalisme et de médias à l'Université de Neuchâtel et y obtenir son Master en juillet 2020.
