Whether in TV series, rap songs, or the postcolonial debate, Frantz Fanon, psychiatrist and author, is experiencing a renaissance. But the controversial philosopher is also being used to justify the terror attacks of October 7th. Why does Fanon offer so much potential for projection? Since there are few photos and no film footage of him, the documentary uses animations to trace the thinker's life and work.

As a member of the 3sat Kulturzeit editorial team, I'm also responsible for daily current affairs and special programmes. Winner of the LiteraVision Television Award 2020.
