This is an article produced for a series of thematic reports ahead of the American presidential election, in collaboration with Larry Towell of the Magnum photo agency. I tried to highlight the reality of people living on the Mexican border, migrants crossing the wall, and customs officers, while immigration was one of the central themes of the campaign.
