In my article, I explore the question of the origin of the Covid-19 pandemic: Did the virus escape from a laboratory in China? Or is its origin linked to the wildlife trade? The aim of my contribution was to give science a voice in this controversial issue and to objectively present the evidence available so far.

Journalistin, Zürich, 1965

Ich wurde in Zürich geboren, bin im Ausland aufgewachsen und habe in Basel Biologie und in New York Wissenschaftsjournalismus studiert. Zunächst war ich bei der NZZ, anschliessend bei der Weltwoche und dann 17 Jahre lang bei der NZZ am Sonntag als Wissenschaftsredakteurin tätig. Anfang 2024 habe ich mich selbstständig gemacht und schreibe seither als freie Journalistin für verschiedene Medien in der Schweiz und in Grossbritannien. Ich befasse mich vor allem mit biomedizinischen Themen an der Schnittstelle zur Gesellschaft.
