Heavily damaged Union Jack, the British flag flying in Boston. Boston was the district which voted most extremely for Brexit in the UK, by 75.6% per cent of the popular vote on a high turnout of 77.2%. The neighbouring fenland district of South Holland, was the second most in favour of Brexit.

Reportage 2018-2019 au cœur du Brexitland, ces districts agricoles humides et plats du South Lincolnshire qui ont voté le plus radicalement pour quitter l'UE – et où j'ai grandi. Non pas la Grande-Bretagne de ma naissance, mais une nouvelle « Angleterre », née des conséquences des coupes budgétaires, de la frustration face aux inégalités, des migrations de masse, de l'establishment politique et d'un certain entêtement endémique.
