Suburb of the city of Potosí, Huaikumayu area dominated by Cerro Rico. There, live many migrant families from the countryside who came with the hope of a better life by working in the mine. Their homes most of the time have only one room, no water.

Bolivien Potosi, Cerro Rico oder „Der Berg, der Menschen frisst“. In seinen Minen haben seit dem 16. Jahrhundert 8 Millionen Menschen ihr Leben verloren. Die Schweizer Gründerin des Vereins „Voices Libres“, Marianne Sebastien, erhielt den Preis von Human Rights Watch Schweiz 2017. Ich begleitete Sozialarbeiter ihres Vereins, die minderjährigen Kindern und ihren Familien helfen, aus den Minen zu entkommen.
