Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama was in Bern in May for the opening of his artwork covering the Kunsthalle. Made from recycled jute sacks from the cocoa trade, the installation evokes colonial legacies and the ties between Ghana and Switzerland. According to ArtReview magazine, the artist is currently the most influential on the international scene, ranking first in the Power100.
