This is a series of three testimonies. They concern families who have experienced a particularly violent tragedy that led to the breakdown of the family unit in the broadest sense of the term. 1: Testimony of the grandparents of the two girls murdered by their father in Bulle (FR) on December 28, 2011, published on January 15, 2012. 2: Testimony of the Emonet family who lost five of their members in the crash of a small tourist plane in Tatroz (FR) on April 28, 2012, published on June 10, 2012. 3: Testimony of the father of the man shot dead in Montreux on September 20, 2012 by the police following a chase, published on September 23, 2012. Meeting these people who have experienced the unimaginable is putting into practice all the journalistic skills that make fieldwork so rich and necessary. In this respect, it typically involves regional subjects of general scope. It is precisely in this coverage area that local journalism finds, in my opinion, its relevance in terms of global public interest.
